How do I open a Husain Scheme account?

A Husain Scheme account can be opened by filling in an appropriate application form which is located in the forms section of this website.

What are the EFT withdrawal dates?

EFTs are processed on the 16th of every Hijri month. A full schedule with corresponding Georgian date is e-mailed to the account holder at the beginning of the Hijri year. The monthly statement email also includes the Gregorian date of the next EFT withdrawal.

The withdrawal dates for 2026 are as follows:

How do I make contributions to my Husain Scheme account (other than 16mi Raat)?

There are two options to make Ad-hoc deposits to your Husain Scheme account:

  1. Send an E-Transfer to info@hqhtmississauga.com. You must put your Jamaat ID in memo/description when sending the transfer.
  2. Write a cheque in name of HQHT and deliver to the HQHT office or give it to any HQHT trustee. Write your Jamaat ID and account holder name in memo of the cheque.
How can I change my bank details for EFT withdrawals?
You can email a void cheque or a PAD form to info@hqhtmississauga.com. Please mention your Jamaat ID and Account Holder Name in the email.
How can I withdraw funds from my Husain Scheme account?

The account holder can request a withdrawal by completing the Withdraw Funds Form. In case the account holder is a minor, the head of family or spouse must request for a withdrawal. A response by e-mail will be sent to you once your cheque is ready for pickup from HQHT office.

How will I know the balance of my Husain Scheme account?

Monthly statements are sent to the e-mail address on file (by the end of the first week of the following month).

How do I get my statement?
Monthly statements are sent to the e-mail address on file by the end of the first week of each month.
Can I get statements sent to more than one email address?
It is preferred to have one e-mail address only. You can use the mail forwarding feature of your e-mail provider to forward the statements to another e-mail address. If it is necessary, we can accommodate a second e-mail address. The request must come from the head of family in writing to info@hqhtmississauga.com.
Can I have more than one Husain Scheme account in my name?
No, you can only have one account in your name. However, your are encouraged to open a Husain Scheme account for every member of your family.
Can you take Husain EFT withdrawal on a calendar date (e.g., 1st) rather than 16mi raat?
Husain Scheme EFT withdrawals happen by default on the 16th of every Hijri month to obtain thawab of giving Qardan Hasana on the 16th of the Hijri month. You can make ad-hoc contributions on any date via E-Transfer or cheque.

You can contact the HQHT office by e-mail (info@hqhtmississauga.com) or visit the office in-person on Saturday between 11am and 2pm and speak with one our trustees.
